January has been a whirlwind for us here at tobook!
Not only did we kick off a brand-new year (which always means plenty of admin to get our systems up to date), but we also hit the ground running with some fantastic industry events.
First up, Karen and Simon caught up with Jan Gelbert from Ramada Hotel Coventry to review our client activity for 2024 and set our sights on an exciting 2025. It’s always great to reflect and plan ahead with our hotel partners!
Helen and Karen enjoyed an evening at the beautiful Handpicked Hotels, Ettington Park in Stratford-upon-Avon. They networked with industry peers, such as the hotel’s General Manager Chris, Sales Director Simon, and Amy, the National Account Manager for the group. The highlight? A wonderful wine pairing dinner whilst taking in all the hotel has to offer for future events—from small board meetings to prestige car launches.
Karen also visited the ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ networking event at Best Western Plus Manor Hotel in Meriden. This speed networking event, hosted by the Coventry and Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, was a real success. The Chamber staff worked so hard ensuring that everybody met new people at every table. There were so many conversations, and we cannot wait to hear what collaborations are made out of them!
To complete a busy month, Simon travelled to Hampshire for the Famtastic Networking event at Tylney Hall Hotel, which included a tasty lunch. The networking didn’t end there! Later, he met industry peers for dinner and an overnight stay at Lythe Hill Hotel before getting stuck into the AIEA Annual Members Meeting the following day with Speed Networking with more than 60 venues, followed by an evening of enjoyment in fancy dress at Old Thorns Hotel. What a way to finish off a month!
We are so fortunate to be able to attend these events. To get firsthand experience, from a client’s point of view, is vital in being able to source the ideal venues for meetings and events.
