tobook on the Move: A Look Back at May

Here at tobook, May was packed full of connections, venue visits, and even a touch of black-tie glamour. We kicked things off at the start of the month with the brilliant Eventurous ‘FamFest 2025’. Karen and Simon made the trip and were treated to a day of fun with a huge variety of outdoor activities including axe throwing, laser shooting, karting, perfume making, massage and much more. It was a great day catching up with industry friends and discovering a few new experiences we can’t wait to pass on to our network. After the event, they were spoiled with an overnight stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole – always a reliable spot for corporate stays.  Evening entertainment was provided by Mr & Mrs Grey and a great night was had.

Mid-month, Karen and James headed to the ICC in Birmingham to introduce the team there to tobook and tobook recommends. It was a great meeting with fantastic people and was a brilliant opportunity to strengthen our growing network. The ICC is a standout space with so much flexibility, and we’re excited about what future collaborations could bring.

Back at our office, we were pleased to welcome Clare Galvin from Crowne Plaza Stratford introducing this summer’s Valorfest challenge – ‘Guess the Hotel’ from picture cards and clues.  Many laughs alongside new learnings. Our door is always open to innovative teams such as theirs.

And finally, to wrap up the month with a little sparkle, Karen and Simon headed to the Famtastic Chester Roaring 20s black-tie event. It’s always a pleasure to attend these stunning occasions with industry friends and represent tobook in style.

Here’s to a month full of new venues, new partnerships, and a growing network of people who believe in making event planning simpler, smarter, and more human.
