Each venue in our portfolio is carefully selected based on its ability to provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that when you choose one of our recommended locations, you can be rest assured that you and your event are in the very best hands.
Over the last few weeks, Simon from our team has been out in the Midlands and surrounding area, visiting some of our amazing recommended venues and experiencing what they have to offer our guests and delegates.
First up is the stunning De Vere Cotswold Water Park. Not only does the property boast a brilliant location, but it also offers plenty to do both on-site and off in the local area. For those who like a room with a view, you’ll be spoilt here as many of the bedrooms overlook the 152 lakes – you might even see a fish jumping here and there! What really stood out to Simon was that the staff here were all so knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely love working there – the property was spotless and every member of staff went out of their way to make Simon feel so welcome. It’s so important for us to know that our clients will be well looked after and we are confident that they would be here.
Next on Simon’s list was the award-winning Rutland Hall Hotel, a stunning venue nestled in 70 acres of peaceful parkland along the shores of Rutland Water. Surrounded by the charming market towns of Stamford and Rutland, this property offers not only picturesque scenery but also excellent transport links, with easy access via the A1, A47, and A606. Their central location means this really is the perfect conference venue for gathering your team together whether it’s for business or pleasure, where there is space to enjoy a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the office. There’s also the opportunity to hire the whole venue exclusively and what impressed Simon was the numerous water sports that are available on the doorstep for all ages to enjoy. He didn’t partake on this occasion but maybe next time…
Whilst he was in the area, Simon also paid a visit to The Barnsdale which also boasts an amazing location just a stone’s throw from Rutland Water. This super-stylish property calls themselves ‘an idyllic rural haven’ and we tend to agree; with a very quiet, peaceful location with uninterrupted views across open fields – this really is a special place to escape to! Simon was shown all of their newly refurbished event space which is perfect for social or corporate events, and is even able to accommodate vehicles if needed. And when the hard work is done, the venue has fantastic spa facilities to enjoy including wood burning external hot tubs, a swimming pool and a sauna. A huge tick for this one from us!
Next on Simon’s hit-list was the Crowne Plaza Stratford which offers a great city centre location which is easily accessible on foot. Set amid landscaped gardens beside the River Avon, the hotel is a quick walk from central Stratford-upon-Avon and has recently seen considerable investment in their event space and bedroom soft furnishings. A stand-out feature for Simon were the amazing gardens that overlook the river, plus the terrace that can be used for outdoor events or drinks when the weather permits – the weather was definitely on our side so we got to saw it in all its autumnal glory. All the staff were very friendly, the food was great and the entertainment was fantastic – what else do you need for a successful event?
And finally, last but by no means least, Simon visited the Holiday Inn Birmingham Bromsgrove – a property that’s nestled in the midst of some beautiful Worcestershire countryside. Part of the IHG group, this fabulous hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and offers event space for up to 200, along with great leisure facilities and plenty of cosy seating area in which you can relax and unwind. For those days when Mother Nature plays ball, there’s also an outdoor dining area with a pizza oven and BBQ which would perfect for summer events. Again, a huge thank you to the team here (and all the properties) that Simon visited for taking the time to show him around, make him feel so welcome and show us what your beautiful venues can offer our clients.
